Flugtag in Hyde Park
On Saturday, Hyde Park was home to Flugtag (wikipedia), a Red Bull event where competitors build homemade human-powered flying machines, and then launch them off a 30 foot pier into the water, points rewarded for distance and creativity.
There was over 80,000 people taking in the event around Hyde Park’s Serpentine Lake. If you didn’t have a good view of the ramp, large video screens were scattered around the lake or paddle boats offered a view from the water, so you can enjoy the mayhem.
